Comic Reviews – 12-10-13

19823Here we go again. Here are my reviews for last week’s awesome books:

Star Wars #12 – 8.3

Batman #26 – 8.2

Lazarus #5 – 8.9

Satellite Sam #5 – 7.2

Walking Dead #118 – 8.7

Superior Foes of Spider-Man #6 – 9.5

Uncanny X-Men #15.INH – 7.9

Another great week is over with as we get closer to the end of the year. It’s a great time to be a comic book reader and with All New Marvel Now coming up, this is a great opportunity for new readers to jump onboard.

Now let’s get to this week’s books. Brian Wood’s Star Wars was as solid as it has been as it ends its twelve issue arc.

Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Zero Year arc has been improving but continues to show that it has been the weaker arc of the series since its New 52 inception.

Greg Rucka’s Lazarus is as amazing as ever as it sets up it an interesting, bleak world. This is a book that I could see being adapted to a movie as it reads that well.

Speaking of books that seem like they can be adapted to be movies, we have my book of the week, Superior Foes of Spider-Man #6. What an amazing book this is, folks. I said this before and I will say it again, this is my favorite Marvel book out now. Yes, Hawkeye and Daredevil are still as amazing as ever, however, Superior Foes takes the cake for me. This book is easily the most entertaining book that I have read and the way it reads speaks Scorsese. Ok, ok. Take that with a grain of salt. But still, if I could choose the next film that guy directs, it would be the Superior Foes movie.

What a great week. What were your favorite books? Let me know in the comments!
