Summer Is Nigh – The Pull – 4-27-16
The summer is nigh and I can’t wait! Kansas City’s biggest comic convention is right around the corner and I am super excited. I mentioned before that Planet Comicon, the aforementioned convention, has been getting bigger each of the last three years that I have been attending. And the fact that the timing of the convention has been pushed out to late May makes it even more exciting. Outside of my local con, I can’t wait to see the news that comes out of the other, bigger cons this summer.
Keeping on the topic of summer, the requisite summer blockbusters are right on our doorstep. Though technically not summer, Captain America Civil War is out in the US in just over a week. The movie is already getting impressive reviews, so I can’t wait to sit down with my popcorn and enjoy. Surely, it has to be better than Batman V Superman, which was a huge disappointment for me. Let’s hope that Marvel’s Doctor Strange can live up to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s reputation come end of summer.
